Duinhof started as the Bakker family summer house, a stone's throw from the beach at De Koog. Three generations on it is a small twelve-room hotel where you are still welcomed like a friend.
We believe in slow travel. No long corridors and anonymous desks, but an open fire, fresh coffee and hosts who know the island. Ask us for the best cycling route or where the seals haul out, and we will sketch it for you.

The story behind Duinhof
Joost grew up in the summer house that is now the lounge. His grandfather bought the plot behind the dunes when De Koog was still a fishing village, and built a home for the whole family.
When Joost and Sanne took over, they wanted to keep that feeling: a place where you feel at home right away. They turned it into a small hotel, but the open fire, the old dining table and the guest book from 1978 stayed. Every guest still writes in it.
